Purpose: Support Real Health Uganda and assess the need to expand healthcare services to Kalangala district

  • Arrival at Entebbe International Airport, greeted Receieved by RHU executives.
  • Check-in at Nexus Hotel, Nansana Wakiso District.
  • Visit to Bwaise Orphanage to deliver supplies and assess needs.

Day 2 (June 20):

  • Organizing drug lists for donation.
  • Visit to Egwonnero Life-saving Hospital to interact with staff and patients, followed by participation in the launch of the strategic plan and partners gala at Pope Paul Memorial Hotel.

Day 3 (June 21):

  • Currency exchange and logistical preparations.
  • Travel to Kalangala Island via ferry, exploration of the area, and interaction with residents.
  • Lodging at Brovad Sands Lodge.

Day 4 (June 22):

  • Visit to Lake Victoria Education Services, Ssandi Orphanage, and Berry’s Place to assess needs and make donations.
  • Rest and preparation at the hotel for upcoming visits.

Day 5 (June 23):

  • Visits to healthcare facilities in Kalangala Township to assess infrastructure and explore collaborations.
  • Finalization of medicines list for donation, prioritizing malaria treatment for pediatric cases.

Day 6 (June 24):

  • Return to Kampala, visit to Standard High School for donation.
  • Revisit to orphanage to assess utilization of previous donations.
  • Conclusion of official activities and preparation for departure.
