Location: Standard High School, Orphanage (location not specified), Kampala

Summary:

On the sixth and final day of the Korean doctors’ visit to Uganda, the team focused on finalizing their activities and making preparations for their return to Kampala.

Upon their return to Kampala, the team made a stop at Standard High School, where one of the team members generously donated pencils and first aid kits. Dr. Busonga also shared his support for the school by sponsoring children here. With approximately 3,000 students in attendance, the school expressed its need for further support beyond what the team could provide.

After settling in, the team decided to revisit the orphanage to assess the utilization of their previous donations. Although they did not encounter many children, they were reassured by the caretakers that the donations were being put to good use. Despite the absence of many children, the team was content with the impact they had made during their visit.

With official duties concluded, the team was given time to prepare for their departure the next day. They returned to the hotel after ensuring that they had given all they could to the orphanage and other beneficiaries.

This day marked the conclusion of the official activities of the Korean visit to Uganda in 2016. A full report detailing the team’s efforts and accomplishments is available for the team and donors in PUHMED®.

Next Steps:

  1. Evaluation and reflection on the impact of donations and support provided during the visit.
  2. Continued support and engagement with partner organizations and initiatives in Uganda.

This report will be included in the main report documenting the Korean doctors’ activities during their visit to Uganda, signifying the successful conclusion of their mission and the positive impact made during their time in the country. Additionally, expanded details will be posted on the organization’s website to provide stakeholders with insight into the team’s final activities and reflections on their visit.
